The Bora Initiative Day 16
It’s slowly becoming natural to me. I heard from one of the talks that I heard before that for something to become a habit you have to do it 21 times. I’m nearing that milestone as I’m now 5 days away from making this from an experiment to a lifestyle.
Food Intake List:
Breakfast: No breakfast today because I had to leave early for school

So now, it’s been two weeks! I wasn’t able to post my food intake yesterday, but I’m glad to say that so far, I’ve been very successful in controlling my eating. All the guidelines are still very much un-violated, thanks very much to self-control, discipline and commitment. THERE’S NO TURNING BACK NOW. ONE HUNDRED DAYS TO GO!

The Bora Initiative Day 10
Hello Day 10. Today I’m going to talk about getting sick, just because I think I am on the verge of it (runny nose and “hot eyes” hahaha). It’s not because of the diet, believe me. Well, I’d just like to remind everyone that healthy living isn’t just about eating right and exercising. It’s also about taking care of yourself and making sure that you get...
The Bora Initiative Day 9
I’m not sure if there’s actual proof of this, but I’m hypothesizing that when you’re on a diet, there’s a point where before you start losing weight, you gain a little first. I say this because last week when I weighed myself in the scale at my gym I was 129 lbs. In the middle of the week it upped at 130 and the reason why I didn’t say it here is because that...
The Bora Initiative Day 8
Day eight and it feels great! My clothes fit better, I have more energy, I feel very light and very healthy. I don’t think C2, even if it stands for Cool and Clean. can make me feel this way (that was random). I quit drinking anything that’s not water or a sports drink. And while having my dinner I saw the Century Tuna Fun Run at The Fort this coming February 21. If I have...
The Bora Initiative Week 1 Report
One week! It’s harder than it looks. I calculated and I have around 15 more weeks, in thinking, it actually sounds longer than when you say it’s 108 more days. I’m sure it’s just going to get harder as time goes by because as I get used to eating this way, I may have the tendency to let some things slip. But, I am glad that so far I’ve stuck to my guidelines.
So...
The Bora Initiative Day 6
Today was tiring. Not the bad tired though, the one where you think you just want to bum around for a week (yes, i have those). This TBI day started with my gym session number 3 and it was very successful. I’m gradually increasing the length and number of my exercises and it’s very fulfilling.
I do want to discuss something regarding the gym I go to. My whole life I’ve...
The Bora Initiative Day 5
Today was one of the big tests of The Bora Inititive: Visitors. Oftentimes when visitors would come over, be it relatives or friends of my parents, there would be this feast prepared by my mom and it will just ruin my whole dieting regimen. Mom would cook up all my favorite dishes like Norma (a pasta dish), Iberian Chicken, Baked Chicken, Baked Lamb Chops, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Beef with...
Bora I. Day 4
My topic for today, before I go into my food intake list is, what to put in your gym bag.
I’d like to discuss this because I’ve been going to the gym since I was 2nd year college (since I learned how to drive) and I haven’t invested in a reliable and nice looking gym bag. I usually just make do with my U Mobile bag that I won a couple of years back. It’s just a simple...
The Bora Initiative Day 3
So to start off, I’m going to talk about the number one problem I’m going to encounter during the course of this plan: TEMPTATION.
It’s only been three days and of course, I’ve been tempted to just drop this whole gig and just eat what I want. But what makes me stop in my tracks from grabbing that piece of lamb chop on the dinner table is my will power to go through...
TBI Day 2
This is today’s Food Intake List:
Breakfast: 1 cup of oatmeal and 2 bananas, plus water to drink
Lunch: a piece of cheese and another banana, water
Dinner: Sinigang na Salmon Head and Pinakbet, loads of water
Today is my first gym day for the duration of TBI (The Bora Initiative). Spent 30 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes jogging/running, 10 walking, 5 to warm up, 5 to cool down. ...
The Bora Initiative
So a couple of days ago, I was thinking of a way to lose all the Christmas pounds I gained over the vacation period. This goes especially because of the Bora trip I’m having with friends by the end of April. I thought of the usual way of doing it, control my eating, exercise when I can and busy myself with a whole lot of things which will eventually cause me to just lose the extra...
